The contributions in this anthology deal with different facets of motives for resisting sexual behavior in films as well as film aesthetics that programmatically translate sexuality(s) and / or nonconformity into a visual language. The focus is on norms and normativity and strategies to avoid them. The colorful mix includes reviews of (early) films on sexual enlightenment and abortion, ornamental bodies in 1930s films, motifs of womanhood and manhood, 'gender struggle', and the sexual revolution in Yugoslavia. Topics range from blackness in the US, "ecstasy" at Eisenstein, to the desire of zombies and the political potential of unpredictability of (sexual) affects.
