About the Journal
Focus and Scope
querelles-net taps the vast range of specialised, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary publications in the field of women's and gender studies, in particular from the German-speaking realm. Academic reviews inform about important new publications and current issues of research. Both printed and electronically published works will be reviewed.
We consider reviews an effective means of enhancing this field of research, in terms of both visibility and reputation. Another objective is to foster the network of researchers. At querelle-net, academic reviews serve not merely to inform, but are regarded as autonomous contributions, in which research results are positioned and contextualised. At the same time, by choosing this form of publication, new technical and legal possibilities shall be explored and tested in an exemplary way.
querelles-net is part of the funding programme for gender studies of the Freie Universität Berlin.
querelles-net is an open access journal. Reviews can be viewed for free. Users may read, download, copy, distribute, print and link content of this site without having to obtain the authors' or the journal's permission.
Peer Review Process
All submitted reviews will be peer-reviewed by our editorial board. At least two people from our editorial team will assess the anonymised texts and give written recommendations that will be sent to the authors. In special cases, we may ask for an external double-blind evaluation.
Publication Frequency
Reviews will be published on a continuous basis. Four times a year, texts will be combined to form an issue. If you are on our mailing list, we will inform you about the newest editions.
Open Access Policy
querelles-net is an open access magazine. Since our very first edition in 2000, users have been able to read all articles for free and without any other barriers.
At the end of each text you find a license note, informing about the open access status and the license used.
