Soccer plays a crucial role as a social stage in Germany. After all, several millions of people are involved in this ball game in various ways every weekend – and thus also in the social hierarchies on the field and beyond it. This volume presents the results of a study project on discrimination and soccer at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. The three articles offer valuable insights into phenomena of sexist, homophobic, and racist marginalization happening at the very basis of this mass sport as well as perspectives on overcoming them. However, the work shows some lacks in contentual consistency regarding the terminology.Downloads
