The editors of this anthology have one central aim: to portray male sex work in its heterogeneity and complexity and to consequently separate it from the thus far often simplifying and stereotyping (scientific) understandings of prostitution as deviance and socially problematic. The selected articles from various continents succeed in providing a comprehensive introductory work on male sex work. A broad range of topics – from the historical interaction with male prostitution, to current labor conditions, to the effects of modern communication technologies – makes this book an insightful resource from cover to cover.Downloads
