The interdisciplinary anthology offers a multifaceted discussion of pregnancy terminations, with a focus on the situation in the German-language countries. Using research methods primarily from the social sciences, the articles analyze the topic’s historical, societal, legal, and ethical dimensions. Moral political and religious influences, the construction and interpretation of abortions, developments in reproductive medicine, the situation of professionals in the field, and the medical perspective on the question of abortion are also addressed. The articles consequently offer successful and comprehensive insights into the debate’s current areas of conflict and highlight the pertinence of a new and objective discussion of the old topic of abortion.Downloads
