In the first volume of the series “Applied Sexology” Torsten Linke introduces theoretical principles and terms of sexual education in social work, analyzes findings of the study “PARTNER 4 – Adolescent Sexuality 2013” and offers approaches for the practical work in the field of sexual education and counseling. In doing so, the analytical focus lies on the family as an agent of socialization, which, with increasing digitalization and extended post-adolescence, takes up an important role in the psychosexual development of children and adolescents in the Western societies with regards to the communication of sexual culture and in which, from the author’s point of view, differing ways of accessing knowledge as well as attitudes exist, based on gender (relations), socio-economic status, and experience of migration.Downloads
