Heike Mauer has presented a comprehensive and convincing intervention in German-language intersectional debates in which she sets forth theories and empirical evidence that Foucault's theory of Governmentality and the theory of intersectionality can learn from each other. While not only treating a historical subject, but also pursuing a current political epistemological interest, she does not make use of Foucault's genealogical procedures and falls back on to a common and schematic reception of Foucault.
