In their volume, the gender and diversity researchers from Tübingen gather contributions from nine disciplines in which naturalization is conceived of theoretically. Naturalization’s effects are shown in everyday life, in individual scientific disciplines, in sports, in history, in Christianity and in gender equality efforts. The perseverance of sexual naturalization is discussed through challenges that arise in relation to non-heterosexual desire and intersex bodies. The contributions reveal numerous interesting facets of naturalization, while some essays display tendencies towards naturalization themselves.
