This reader features the proceedings of a conference on “Sensuality and Changes of Heart” The ten articles featured in the reader aim to render understandable the history of sensuality and its political-emancipatory aspects. Contrary to what one might expect the historical approach only scarcely manifests itself in these articles, as most authors tend to draw on philosophical approaches. Nonetheless, the overarching interest in the relationship between political power and sensuality becomes visible in all of the articles, making this book a worthwhile read for anyone interested in the currently booming field of research on sensuality and emotions.Downloads
