Abstract

Sadie Plant is director of the “Cybernetic Culture Research Unit” at the University of Warwick. She considers herself as one of the founding mothers of “cyber feminism”. Nullen + Einsen aims to present the topic of women and computers in a new light. Plant’s main thesis holds that the internet was a further development of the loom. Using a collage-like style of storytelling, Plant illustrates the non-linear structure of modern means of communication.
