Oliver Dickhäuser’s study of gender specific computer usage is an empirically and theoretically impressive piece of research. First, Dickhäuser offers an overview of the state-of-the field research on this topic. He then introduces an explanatory model, including a set of measuring instruments, which he explicitly designed for this study, and applies them to four case studies. The convincing and clever design of Dickhäuser’s approach makes his study a ground-breaking contribution to research on a topic that continues to be as relevant as ever.Downloads
