Natascha Adamowsky’s work is rooted in contemporary media theory. The term “play” has been applied to the recently emerging media events like performance art, techno music, and to new electronic media as a way of talking about new virtual and digital media. Adamowsky examines parties, amusement parks, and computer games as well as phenomena like the annual Love Parade in Berlin or the realm of cyber space. Adamowsky was awarded the Löwenclub Foundation’s special prize for best research in the area of games and recreation.Downloads
