Sophisticated media theory has been around for a number of years. Recently, there has been an increase in manuals and introductory books which aim to provide an overview of the rampant jungle of media semantics. Metzler Publishing just published another such manual. This encyclopaedia is indeed a very promising work whose authors aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice in media studies.Downloads
