Abstract

This anthology presents a broad spectrum of historical analyses dealing with issues of gender, violence, and the military, covering the period between WWI and the end of WWII. The individual contributions presented this anthology draw on a number of different methodologies, ranging from oral history to discourse analysis. Together, they substantiate the relevance and the omnipresence of gender in one of the most persistent domains of maleness.
