Abstract

Gender relations, especially the role of women, stand in the forefront of mutual perceptions of Germans and Turks. This volume of the Koerber-Foundation discusses diverse gender roles in Germany, Turkey and among male and female Turkish migrants in Germany. In contrast to the numerous studies that deal with the situation of Turkish women, this book also examines concepts of masculinity.
