Abstract

The book from the series –Studien zur Gesundheits- und Pflegewissenschaft (Studies on Heath and Nursing)- describes the theoretical background, the methodological approach, and the results of a biographical study that devotes itself to the transition of the daughter to care giving daughter. The foundation of the publication is the author’s dissertation (2002). By taking biographical and family background into account, the field gains a new perspective on the research on family members that require special care.
