Abstract

These two books with conference proceedings give insights—for the first time in German—into research on Eastern European gender history during the 19th and 20th centuries. They not only cover Russia and the Soviet Union, but also smaller countries in this region. An additional advantage is the possibility of drawing inspiring cross-references between the essays.
