For a long time the category of gender did not play a role in system theory. Conversely, system theories’ conception of society did not play a role in gender research. Christine Weinbach’s book represents the first monograph that combines both research approaches and ties them into findings of attribution theory. Thus, Weinbach effectively shows at what level gender is relevant to society. Her book exhibits an ambitious project that paves the way for further gender research conceived of through system theory.Downloads
