Abstract

This volume fills an important gap in the current literature on Gender Mainstreaming, where fundamental critics and optimistic “How-to-manuals” prevail. It gathers conceptual controversies, theory-grounded approaches to research and first research results. The authors focus in particular on political conditions, including micro-politics, for successful implementation. The book is recommended for all who want to implement Gender Mainstreaming and therefore have to act politically.
