Inge Stephan’s book presents published and to date unpublished essays written between 1985 and 2004 on the literature of the eighteenth century. Although the essays are presented with no particular connection to one another, they illuminate in an interesting fashion the Codierung der Geschlechter in der Literatur des 18. Jahrhunderts (Coding of the Sexes in Eighteenth-Century Literature), whereby the emphasis is placed on the second half of the century and on the period around 1800.Downloads
