Jianfei Kralle and Dennis Schilling present eight empirical studies examining the status of women in ancient China with focus on the first millenium B.C., most of which take a comprehensive approach. The conference publication sketches an overall differentiated image of perspectives on women and opportunities open to women, thus revising the image of women as victims. The publication therefore confirms the validity of new research results presented in recent yearsDownloads
