Abstract

The task of questioning the relationship between religion and gender is an important undertaking for both theology and gender research. The collected volume at hand illuminates the possibilities as well as the risks of such interdisciplinary discussions. While some interdisciplinary undertakings develop a synergy and open new horizons in research, in others the approach and the discussion of the instruments remain lacking.
