Sigrun Welke-Holtmann examines the conversations between women and men in biblical narrative texts in her Marburg dissertation. Using a combination of linguistic-analytical instruments appropriate to the subject matter, the author is able to show that dialogues contribute to the construction of gender in that they ascribe different conversational strategies to women and men.Downloads
