Abstract

This collected volume that questions the relationship between football and gender, or more precisely, football’s role in the maintenance and/or production of male gender identity appears just in time for the football World Cup championship. The result is a kaleidoscope of gender sensitive, critical football research from the perspective of the social sciences, political sciences, and cultural studies.
