The author analyses how effectively women’s rights organizations participated in the processes of societal changes after the end of racial segregation in South Africa. This expansive study precisely documents historical material on the political transformation. The interdependency of gender constructs and gender-specific violence is the central topic for examination. As an interdisciplinary contribution to research, the study puts forth an empirically founded groundwork for the compilation of new approaches to prevention research in the context of gender, violence, and the law in South Africa.Downloads
