The title of the book prompts the reader to expect a thorough explanation of the causes of right-wing extremism among young people. Maren Oepke cannot satisfactorily fulfill these expectations and remains behind the conclusions drawn by research on right-wing extremism in the past few years. One reason for this is that the data on which she bases her study was collected in the beginning to mid-1990s. Another reason is found in her methodological approach, which allows only for limited testimony as to the genesis and mechanisms of social processes.Downloads
