The volume The Poetic Undead. German Language Vampire Discourses from the Middle Ages to the Present (Poetische Wiedergänger. Deutschsprachige Vapirismus-Diskurse vom Mittelalter bis zur Gegenwart) is made up of thirteen contributions that approach the phenomenon of vampirism and how it is reflected in texts and the media on the basis of “sources from history, ethnology, medicine, criminology, popular culture, and literature” (7). Their goal is to open up new perspectives in an “interdisciplinary fashion, focused on sources and oriented toward gender” (7).Downloads
