Ursula Welsch and Dorothee Pfeiffer sketch the winding pathways of the life of Lou Andreas-Salomé (1861–1937). They do so by utilizing images accompanied by letters, journal entries or publication excerpts and paired with their own interpretive text passages. The study is guided by the implicit question as to how her relationships with men influenced the writer, theoretician, and psychoanalyst.Downloads
