How do fathers experience the changes that have occurred in heterosexual partnerships and families following the women’s movement? How do they deal with the requirements placed on them as “new fathers,” which can be partially incompatible with their own images of masculinity? One reaction that has received great media attention has been their engagement in fatherhood initiatives. Anja Wolde analyses the collective patterns of interpretation of these initiatives, formed of a union between self-help group and lobby organization.Downloads
