This book is based on a study in which almost all female professors of mathematics at German universities were interviewed. The study illuminates similarities in the life paths of these successful women and points to the demands placed on women in the scientific discipline of mathematics. Many of the professors also experienced discrimination that increased with each new career level. Numerous quotations from the interviews lend the findings vitality.Downloads
