Abstract

The elite are “in” again, in both the public and political debates as well as in social research. The collected volume at hand critically reflects on the current, ever present discussion on elitism and excellence from the perspective of women’s and gender studies. It presents current research on changes and obstacles for women’s participation in the fields of economy, science, and politics.
