Jana Günther analyses the specific forms of protest, the organizational structure, and the political performance of the radical suffragette movement. The author pays particular attention to the visualization strategies used by the British right-to-vote activists as well as to their use of symbolic violence, a phenomenon that has practically been ignored in German research on women.Downloads
