Although Daniel Wildermann’s study focuses on the visual construction of the male body, he paradoxically manages to largely ignore gender as a category. In his analysis of Leni Riefenstahl’s film Olympia the author points out how the ‘Aryan’ body is drawn up as an object of desire for the spectators.Downloads
