In the book version of her dissertation, the media scholar Andrea Seier examines the compatibility of Butler’s concept of performativity in connection with media studies. She thus follows a two-fold interest: She intends to accommodate the event-character of the media through her focus on the performative perspective as well as to specify the relationship between gender and media, both epistemologically and theoretically.Downloads
