Studies in men and masculinity are still missing from German language theological research. In order to rectify this problem, Marie-Theres Wacker and Stefanie Rieger-Goertz organized a symposium in 2005 intended to develop a dialogue between critical men’s research and theological women’s research. The publication of the papers offers insight into interdisciplinary gender research, new perspectives in theology, belief, and church—and it avoids controversy.Downloads
