The textbook on transcultural gender research examines the social and cultural conditions of gender relations in varying cultural regions while intending to contribute to sensitivity towards differing cultural perspectives. In this vein, the authors propose the use of the term transculturality to point to the mutual penetration occurring between cultures and to the internal heterogeneity existing within a single culture and its gender order.Downloads
