Abstract

Lecturer, independent journalist, and author Florence Hervé provides a thematically structured biographical overview for this volume of texts from and about Clara Zetkin, which appeared in conjunction with the celebration of her 150th birthday. Hervé classifies the politician and women’s right activist according to materials in historical context and critical approaches Zetkin’s thoughts and theories. In so doing, she asserts the necessity of displaying Zetkin’s lesser-known aspects. However, the author only partially achieves this goal.
