In this book the French and American avantgarde theatre of the modern and postmodern period is analysed from aspects of gender. The questions raised are which processes serve to develop avantgarde art, whether avantgarde art is restrictive with regard to gender, or whether it enables a subversive feminist or specific lesbian/gay forms of theatre?Downloads
