Abstract

The collected volume Violence and Masculinity (Gewalt und Männlichkeit) contains five essays that approach the theme ‘masculinity and violence’ from different perspectives. The primary questions include: How can we explain the fact that men are violent or become violent? And which preconditions are found for this in different constructions of masculinity?
