Abstract

The monograph at hand is the published version of a judicial dissertation, however, it not only provides a stimulating and enlightening read for legal professionals but without a doubt also for other professional groups and interested individuals. Indeed, this reviewer is a professional from a non-legal field. The concept of multidimensional discrimination describes a “coming together of discriminations due to not one, but multiple distinctive features (gender, disability, race, language, etc.)” that “has not yet been more closely examined in terms of its specific legal effect” (p. 19). The volume expounds upon the fundamental problematic of multidimensional discrimination using the example of disabled women.
