Abstract

Three aspects of the relation of gender and science are dealt with: 1. the history of women in the sciences; 2. gendered specific conditions of socialization and other obstacles which hamper women’s access to this field of professional work; and 3. women’s contributions to changes in the substance of certain sciences during the last 20 years of the feminist movement and thought.
