Abstract

The study’s analysis of the forms of presentation of women’s and gender history in 74 museums highlights the minimal consideration of women in history and uncovers the “masculine gaze” on the historical past. This publication supports a “House of Women’s History” through innovative ideas on the presentation of gender-appropriate history that would allow for a clear look at matriarchal patterns in human history.
