Abstract

Questions of security, war, and peace attempts are the central challenges of the 21st century. They confront scholarly research of many different disciplines with new tasks. In order to present a well-founded analysis of the causes of war, combat operations, and peace processes, gender dimensions must be taken into account. In this vein, this book offers a readable and differentiated overview.
