The study provides a broad analysis of the structure of appeals procedures from the perspective of political equality. It does so on the grounds of qualitative interviews and a comprehensive survey of all procedural rules. Based on supplemental and concrete suggestions for implementing equity-oriented procedural management, the examination not only helps readers toward an empirically ensured insight into the mechanisms of discrimination at German institutes of higher education, but it also presents an important contribution to the integration of equal opportunities in the current reforms of the appeals procedures.Downloads
