The three publications share an interest in gender-equitable schools. Friederike Heinzel and others use praxis aids for instruction in order to approach the question as to how gender-equitable education can be realized. Claudia Höhn examines the role of school-based social work in the approach to gender in schools. Angelika Paseka illuminates possibilities and limits for the application of the political strategy of “gender mainstreaming” for schools using the example of the evaluation of pilot projects in Austrian academies for teacher training. Overall it becomes clear that the possibilities offered by the concept of gender mainstreaming in the realization of gender-equitable schools have yet to be adequately administered.Downloads
