The collected volume questions the relationship between gender or gender mainstreaming and politics, women’s movements, science, and societal change. The emphasis is placed on the similarities and boundaries between women’s politics and gender. The diversity of the essays allows for insight into different gender positions. In so doing, many of the texts connect the discussion of gender to gender mainstreaming. At the same time, the majority of the contributions recognize a discrepancy between feminist theory and gender-political praxis.Downloads
