Abstract

The collected volume takes stock of feminist science-fiction-literature of the last two centuries. The volume places special focus on novels that thematize gender constructions and changed gender relations. The analysis enriches German-language discourse but it mostly fails to reference the state of English-language research. Three particular aspects deserve special note: Nina Köllhofer’s detailed summary of the state of discussions on feminist science fiction, Dagmar Fink’s original contribution on the queer femme in and beyond science fiction, and Jutta Weber’s explanation of the “emotional turn” in the technoscience of robotics.
