Abstract

In the newspaper “figurationen,” the magazine section, entitled “Mode/Kunst—Fashion/Art” displays a collection of reports that examine the relationship between fashion clothing and art from the Renaissance to the present day in the study of literature.The authors and artists examine gender portrayal as reflected in the style of the presentation of the clothed body as art form. They also consider the aesthetic placement of fashion in art work or period-specific norms.
