The collected volume offers an interdisciplinary overview of the topic of harassment in public spaces – not only sexual harassment but also racial, homophobic, and transphobic harassment. The overview also expands to include debates beyond German-language borders. The essays use various theoretical and practical perspectives to illuminate the manner in which power relations are reflected and reproduced in conceptions of public and private spaces. The volume shows in a convincing way that violence-driven multilayered processes perpetuate hierarchical, heteronormative, and racist social orders.Downloads
