Labor societies and their upheavals remain only partially understood when the category of gender is not systematically incorporated. The collected volume at hand offers up current insight into the gender-theoretical perspectives on the topic of work. The examination goes beyond gainful employment and also focuses on private forms of work and on the correlation between both. At the same time the articles reflect current debates on the theoretical meaning of the category of gender. The review attempts to follow these various threads.Downloads
